Navratri at Sughad 2024-25
The Navratri celebration at Anand Niketan Sughad is always a time of pure merriment. This year, it was a two-day celebration held on October 2nd and 6th. The festive vibes began to permeate the environment a month prior, and the entire school was immersed in spiritual fervor.
Preparations commenced immediately after the mid-term exams. Children eagerly anticipated the celebration, and got rejuvenated by dancing to Garba tunes. Finally, the day of celebration arrived, and the school was transformed with magnificent artwork.
The spirit of Navratri was palpable on every face - staff, students, and parents alike. Everyone adhered to their respective dress codes, with diverse groups distinguished by vibrant, colorful drapes.
The festivities began with the grand Aarti Garba performed by Anand Niketan Sughad's educators. This sacred ritual marked a moment of spiritual transcendence and devotion as participants paid homage to the divine.
Subsequently, each class showcased their Garba performances, showcasing the magic of melodies and happy faces. The youthful enthusiasm blended seamlessly with profound cultural significance, creating a harmonious fusion resonating with Navratri's spirit.
Students swayed and spun to rhythms, illustrating the eternal truth that sometimes what goes around comes around, not always as karma but often as the enchanting and vivacious Garba . Popular songs included "Khodiyad Maa/Tetudo," "Morbani Thangat/Saibo Re," and "Navlakha Haar."
Following the dazzling performances, it was time for Sheri Garba, where parents, educators, management, and trustees united to pay homage to the divine.
The Navratri celebration was a memorable and culturally enriching event, fostering unity among students and staff
