Spreading Smiles: Anand Niketan Sughad's Joyful Diwali Mela

Anand Niketan Sughad successfully hosted a compassionate Diwali Mela, delivering a powerful lesson in sharing and empathy to its students. Fueled by the community's immense generosity, the initiative culminated in a heartwarming "shopping spree" for about 50 children from the Ahmedabad-based NGO. Grade 8 students demonstrated true social responsibility by taking charge of sorting, organizing the large number of donated material and setting up the mela. This turned the drive into a hands-on lesson.

The children from the NGO participated in a unique exchange, using coupons and artificial money to freely ‘buy’ their chosen items—including new clothes, books, and toys—ensuring their needs and desires were met with respect.

More than just a material donation, the event was a triumph of values, reinforcing the power of selfless contribution and bringing radiant smiles that truly illuminated the festive season.
